- Blogger 2005
- Originally a Blog, short for Weblog, was to "log the web", giving links and commentaries about them. On some sites, it has evolved into a diary kept online, a sort of running commentary on life. In early 1999 the first "weblogs" became popular. Weblogs provided a series of annotated links to items such as news stories, and often included personal rants.

The only catch to E-mail service is that the recipient of the message also needs to have access to an E-mail server.
- High speed Internet service will it ever come? (1999)
- A report entitled "Telecommunications Crossroads " was presented at the KAST (Kootenay Association for Science and Technology) annual conference in Nelson on Monday. The report was prepared by Brian Fry and Doug Alder of IPWorld Communications in Rossland. The report was funded through KAST. They interviewed the major telecommunications providers in the West Kootenay area. Their conclusion: the existing telecommunication infrastructure is better than expected. However the access to high speed capacity is severely restricted by the lack of affordable "last mile" solutions.

Bill Gates, commenting on the recent DOJ ruling asks "can a successful American Company continue to improve its products for the benefit of consumers?" or is the Department of Justice (DOJ) who found that Microsoft has a monopoly and abused that power. DOJ found Microsoft's, "corporate practise was to pressure other firms to halt software development that even showed the potential to weaken the applications (new software) barrier to entry or that competes with Microsoft's cherished products"

- When AOL offered unlimited Internet access for $19.95, customers couldn't get on the Internet (AOL no longer offers unlimited service). Now BC-Tel has the same problem with their unlimited $20.00 evening calls. The circumstances are different but the outcome is the same. The same problem could plague the Internet as more users sign on and request more and larger files.

- What's Happened in 2001
- The 2000 year was plagued by the crash of many dot.com web sites to few. Internet services which were "free" lost money. Anticipated advertising revenue for banner ads, listing fees, and membership sales was not forthcoming. It seemed to be a contest among various high profile web sites as to who could lose money the fastest. Reality struck. "Free Pc" sites disappeared, web sites' attempts at being everything to everybody failed. Real revenue had to generated to maintain operations.
